Let's level the playing field

We are the Field

the Field, is a groundbreaking job site built by and for people with disability that actively connects people with disability with jobs from inclusive employers. The Field exists to change the game in employment by providing an accessible and inclusive job site. It matches people with disability who want to work, with job opportunities from employers that actively want to hire people with disability across all industries, roles, and levels of experience.

the Field was launched at Parliament House on Wednesday 9th of November, 2022, by founder Dylan Alcott AO, alongside Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Minister Bill Shorten, Minister Amanda Rishworth, and the Field team.

Why the Field?

The employment rate for people with a disability has not changed in over 28 years, compared to those without disability. There are 4.4 million Australians who identify as having a disability, of which, 2.1 million are of working age. There are nearly half a million Australians with disability actively seeking work.

Accessibility and inclusion are at the core of everything we do. the Field has been co-designed with hiring managers and people with disability from different age groups and demographics. It has been developed as a purpose-built accessible job site that ensures users have a seamless end-to-end recruitment experience. It has unique features allowing job seekers to showcase themselves, their skills, and their experiences in a format they choose.
